Lucy Cavendish College (with the Daphne Jackson Trust)

TWO RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

Lucy Cavendish College is committed to the advancement of women's education. The College exists to create a stimulating environment in which women can pursue academic excellence. As part of this programme, Lucy Cavendish College endeavours to enable women research scientists and engineers to return to appropriate employment after taking a career break. It therefore invites applicants for two half-time Research Fellowships under the auspices of the Daphne Jackson Trust. Each Fellowship aims to provide advanced research and training opportunities for a well-qualified woman research scientist or engineer, with a Ph.D. or good Honours degree, seeking to resume her career after a break due to family commitments. The Fellowships are tenable in a science or engineering department or related institution at the University of Cambridge and the successful applicants will be elected to Research Fellowships at Lucy Cavendish College for the tenure of their appointment. The appointments will be for two years, half-time, and the stipend will be pro rata on the RA1A scales for teaching staff, which will amount to a minimum of £8,785 a year with £650 extraordinary expenses in the first year.
