Elections and appointments

The following elections and appointments have been made:

Elections

Mr R. Cerdas-Creuz, Licenciatura in Law, Costa Rica, Ph.D., Paris V, elected Simón Bolívar Professor of Latin American Studies from 12 January 1999 to 11 June 1999.

Mr A. Hughes, M.A., SID, University Lecturer in Economics and Politics and Director of the ESRC Centre for Business Research, elected Margaret Thatcher Professor of Enterprise Studies with effect from 1 October 1999.

Appointments

University Lecturer

Pathology. Mr M. J. Arends, B.Sc., M.B., Ch.B., Ph.D., Edinburgh, MRCPath, appointed from 1 January 1999 for five years.

Resident

Clinical Veterinary Medicine. Mr M. F. Stidworthy, M.A., Vet.M.B., G, MRCVS, MBVA, appointed Resident in Pathology from 1 November 1998 for three years.
