Graces submitted to the Regent House on 17 June 1998

The Council submit the following Graces to the Regent House. In accordance with the provisions of Regulation 7 of the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 113), the Council have determined that votes shall be taken by ballot on Graces 1-4 (see the Council's Notice p.786). The remaining Graces, other than any which is withdrawn or for which a ballot is requested in accordance with Regulation 8 of those regulations, will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 26 June 1998.

1. That Recommendation I contained in paragraph 9 of the Report, dated 27 April 1998, of the Council on the structure of academic offices in the University, promotions procedures, and related matters (Reporter, p. 575), as amended by the Council's Notice of 8 June 1998 (p. 786), be approved.

2. That Recommendations II and IV contained in paragraph 9 of the Report, dated 27 April 1998, of the Council on the structure of academic offices in the University, promotions procedures, and related matters (Reporter, p. 575), as amended by the Council's Notice of 8 June 1998 (p. 786), be approved.

3. That Recommendations V and VI contained in paragraph 9 of the Report, dated 27 April 1998, of the Council on the structure of academic offices in the University, promotions procedures, and related matters (Reporter, p. 575), as amended by the Council's Notice of 8 June 1998 (p. 786), be approved.

4. That Recommendation VII contained in paragraph 9 of the Report, dated 27 April 1998, of the Council on the structure of academic offices in the University, promotions procedures, and related matters (Reporter, p. 575) be approved.

5. That the recommendations contained in paragraph 7 of the Report, dated 25 May 1998, of the Council on the provision of new post-mortem facilities for the Department of Clinical Veterinary Medicine (Reporter, p. 698) be approved.

6. That the recommendations contained in paragraph 6 of the Report, dated 20 May 1998, of the General Board on the establishment of a second Professorship of Paediatrics (Reporter, p. 698) be approved.

7. That the recommendations contained in paragraph 43 of the Report, dated 25 May 1998, of the Council on the financial position of the Chest, recommending allocations for 1998-99 (Reporter, p. 678) be approved.¹
