Announcement of lectures

The following lectures will be open to members of the University and others who are interested:

Robin Orr Lecture, 1998. The 1998 Robin Orr Lecture will take place in the University Music School, West Road, on Wednesday, 22 April 1998, at 5 p.m. Professor Reinhard Strohm, Heather Professor of Music at the University of Oxford, will lecture on The end of the Middle Ages: how did it happen in Music?

Divinity. Professor John MacKenzie, of the University of Lancaster, will give an illustrated lecture, entitled Peoples and places: the missionary movement and images of the non-Western world, in the Divinity Faculty, St John's Street, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 7 April.

Geography. Tuan Adi bin Haji Taha will speak on Recent archaeological and environmental research in the Kelantan Valley, Malaysia, at 4 p.m. on 17 March in the Seminar Room, Department of Geography, Downing Site.

Slavonic Studies. Dr Catriona Kelly, of New College, Oxford, will give a lecture, entitled Women in Russian culture, at 5.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 11 March, in Room 7, Lecture Block, Sidgwick Avenue Site.
