Department of Chemistry: Notice

OPEN DAY

for Final Year Physical Sciences and Engineering Students

The Physical and Theoretical Chemistry Sectors of the Department of Chemistry are organizing a joint 'Open Day' on Wednesday, 22 April, to present their research activities to final year students in Applied Mathematics, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Materials Science, and Physics, who might be interested in working towards a Ph.D. Degree in the Department of Chemistry, commencing 1 October 1998. A substantial number of QUOTA Studentships are available. There will be short, twenty-minute presentations of the experimental and theoretical research activities and projects in the two Sectors. This will be followed by tea and informal discussions with academic staff or visits to laboratories. The presentations will take place from 3.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. in Lecture Theatre 3, Department of Chemistry, Lensfield Road.
