Annual Meetings of Faculties

Economics and Politics

The Chairman of the Faculty of Economics and Politics gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, 17 November 1997, in the Meade Room, Austin Robinson Building, Sidgwick Avenue. The Agenda for the meeting will be circulated to each member of the Faculty. One of the items of business will be to elect, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), two members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 1998, and one member in class (c) to serve for one year from 1 January 1998.

 Nominations in writing, signed by the proposer, together with an indication of the nominee's willingness to serve, should reach the Secretary, Dr D. Robertson, Faculty of Economics and Politics, Austin Robinson Building, Sidgwick Avenue, by 5 p.m. on Thursday, 13 November. It would be convenient if notice of any other business that members wish to be discussed were also sent in writing to the Secretary by 5 p.m. on 13 November.

Social and Political Sciences

The Chairman of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, 20 November 1997, in the Rayleigh Lecture Theatre, Old Cavendish Building, New Museums Site. All members of the Faculty are invited to attend. An election will be held, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of two members of the Faculty Board in class (c), to serve for four years from 1 January 1998. The retiring members in class (c) are Dr R. Geuss and Dr J. B. Thompson.

 Nominations, proposed and seconded in writing, together with an indication of the nominee's willingness to serve, should be sent to the Secretary of the Faculty Board of Social and Political Sciences, Free School Lane, not later than Monday, 17 November. Notice of any other business should reach the Secretary by the same date.

Mathematics: Correction

In addition to the election of three members of the Faculty Board to serve for four years announced in Reporter, p. 127, there will also be an election of one member to serve for one year from January 1998.
