Careers Service and the Judge Institute of Management Studies

MBA AND GENERALIST CAREERS ADVISER

The Careers Service and the Judge Institute of Management Studies are looking for someone with a strong interest in students and their futures to work partly with MBA students (50%) and partly with other students and graduates of the University (50%). The successful candidate will join the busy team of the Careers Service (10 advisers and 24 other staff) serving Cambridge students and their employers but will also have a base within the Judge Institute. A degree and substantial experience of work is essential together with, for the MBA work, an up-to-date knowledge of private sector business. Essential personal qualities include enthusiasm, curiosity, objectivity, stamina, and the ability to switch tasks frequently. Above all, the successful candidate should like people, and be able to work under pressure, both independently and in a group. Professional training courses will be available. The appointment will initially be for two years, with the possibility of renewal thereafter.

 The pensionable salary is on a scale of £20,103 a year, rising by eleven annual increments to £29,875.
