Notices by Faculty Boards, or other bodies concerned, of changes to the form and conduct of certain examinations to be held in 2008-09, by comparison with those examinations in 2008, are published below. Complete details of the form and conduct of all examinations are available from the Faculties or Departments concerned.
The Faculty Board of Modern and Medieval Languages give notice that, with effect from the examinations to be held in 2009, the form of the examinations for certain papers for the Modern and Medieval Languages Tripos will be changed as follows (see also Reporter, p. 214):
The examination paper will be the same for both Part IB and Part II, but the rubric for Section A will read as follows:
For candidates taking Part IB, in all Section A essay questions (as opposed to commentary questions), reference must be made to a range of material from ONE OR MORE centuries.
For candidates taking Part II, in all Section A essay questions (as opposed to commentary questions), reference must be made to a range of material from TWO OR MORE centuries.
