Theological and Religious Studies Tripos

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 405)

With effect from 1 October 2003

The regulations have been amended to make explicit provision for students who wish to take Part IIA in their final year after having completed two years of another Tripos, where it does not seem appropriate to require that a language paper is taken (cf Regulation 26 for final-year candidates for Part IIB). A new Regulation 25 has been inserted as set out below, with consequent renumbering of Regulations 25-27 as 26-28 and amendments to cross-references.

Regulation 25.

A student who is a candidate for Part IIA in the year next after obtaining honours in an Honours Examination other than Part I of the Theological and Religious Studies Tripos and who has kept seven terms shall offer four papers chosen from Group B, provided that

(i) a candidate who so wishes may offer Paper A1 instead of Paper B1;
(ii) a candidate who has previously obtained honours in the Classical Tripos or the Oriental Studies Tripos may not offer in Paper A1 a language in which he or she has previously offered a paper in an Honours Examination;
(iii) a candidate may not offer more than two papers which have been specified by the Faculty Board under Regulation 19.
