The General Board, on the recommendation of the Library Syndicate, have agreed the following amendments to the regulations for the University Library, with immediate effect:
(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 635)
Regulation 2.
By amending the regulation so as to read:
2. All meetings of the Syndicate shall be summoned by the Vice-Chancellor; there shall be at least one and normally two meetings each term.

Regulation 4.
By adding after the second sentence:
These cards are not transferable and must be shown on request to any member of the Library staff in the proper discharge of her or his duties.

The General Board have approved the following amendments to the list of institutions whose members may borrow books from the University Library, with immediate effect:
Delete 'Medical Research Council institutions' and the three named institutions and insert under 'Other institutions' 'Medical Research Council institutions in the Cambridge area'.
Replace 'Hospitals of the Addenbrooke's NHS Trust and the Cambridgeshire Health Authority' and 'NHS Executive Eastern Region' with 'NHS Authorities and Trusts in the Cambridgeshire County Council area' and 'West Suffolk Hospital'.
