Examination in Development Studies for the M.Phil. Degree

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 476)

With effect from 1 October 2002

The regulations for the examination in Development Studies have been amended following changes to related M.Phil. subjects which have introduced modular components. As a result Group 2 of the list of subjects available has been amended to include both full and half-subjects.

Regulation 2.

(A) By replacing in line 7 the words 'Group 2 shall contain not more than sixteen other subjects' by the words 'Group 2 shall contain not more than a total of sixteen other subjects made up of either full or half-subjects'.

(B) By replacing in lines 12 and 13 the words 'shall not exceed sixteen. In publishing the list and any additions to it, the Committee shall announce the form of examination for that subject.' by the words 'shall not exceed sixteen full subjects. In publishing the list and any additions to it, the Committee shall announce whether a subject is a full or half-subject and the form of examination for that subject.'

Regulation 3.

By replacing in sub-paragraph (b) the words 'one subject' by the words 'one full subject or two half-subjects', and in sub-paragraph (c) the words 'one further subject' by the words 'one further full subject or two further half-subjects'.
