TWO-YEAR JUNIOR LECTURERSHIP IN COLONIAL AND REVOLUTIONARY AMERICAN HISTORY IN THE FACULTY OF MODERN HISTORY

The Faculty of Modern History invites applications for a two year Junior Lecturership to teach American History from 1 October 2002, to replace Dr Peter Thompson who will be on leave as British Academy Research Reader. The annual stipend is £17,451 to £18,471 a year, with a discretionary range to £20,267. The lecturer will be required to undertake up to sixteen lectures and sixteen classes for the Faculty of Modern History and up to six hours of tutorial teaching a week for Colleges, for which additional payment is made by the Colleges. Applicants should be specialists on colonial or revolutionary American history and should hold, or be about to be awarded, a doctoral degree.
