COLLEGE NOTICES

Corpus Christi College

On 7 March at 7.30 p.m., in the Corn Exchange Cambridge, Corpus Christi College hosts a unique event. The College is promoting a concert by the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment as part of their 650th Anniversary celebrations. The Conductor is Nicholas McGegan (a music Scholar at Corpus Christi College in the late 1960s), world-famous for his interpretations of eighteenth-century music, especially Handel.

The concert provides an evening of Handel's music - 'Mr Handel's Concertos' - just as it would have sounded in Handel's time. It concludes with one of his most enduring and popular works, 'Music for the Royal Fireworks'.

Tickets are available from the Cambridge Corn Exchange Box Office (tel. 01223 357851), or from the website at http://www.cornex.co.uk/. Ticket prices are £22.50, £18.50, £14.50, and £5.
