Lincoln College

FIXED-TERM DARBY FELLOWSHIP IN PURE OR APPLIED ANALYSIS

Lincoln College invites applications from either men or women for a five year fixed-term Darby Fellowship in Pure or Applied Analysis with effect from 1 October 2002 to 30 September 2007. Applicants are normally expected to be at an early stage of an academic career, who have recently obtained or are about to obtain a doctorate in Mathematics, but should have some experience of teaching Mathematics at university level. Consideration will be given to teaching, research, achievement, and potential.

The Fellow will be required to provide tutorial teaching for Moderations and Finals in Mathematics and related joint schools, as well as teaching for the Preliminary Examination in Physics. It is expected that the person appointed will pursue research in Pure or Applied Analysis.

The salary offered currently ranges from £21,503 to £25,455 plus common room rights and allowances towards teaching and research costs.
