History of Art, Part II, 2002

The Faculty Board of Architecture and History of Art give notice that, with effect from the examinations to be held in 2002, the form of the examination for Part II of the History of Art Tripos will be changed as follows:

Part II

Paper 1.  Approaches to the history of art, with reference to works of criticism

The paper will be divided into three sections. Candidates will be required to answer five questions including three from Section 1 and one each from Sections 2 and 3. Section 1 will contain a choice of five or six passages of which candidates select three for comment. Section 2 will contain a selection of questions on specific writers/issues from which candidates will answer one. Section 3 will contain general questions of which candidates will answer one.
