Professor Sir JOHN (HAROLD) PLUMB, Ph.D., Litt.D., FBA., Emeritus Professor of Modern English History, Fellow of Christ's College since 1946, Master of Christ's College (1978-82), Ehrman Research Fellow, King's College (1939-46), died on Sunday, 21 October 2001, aged 90 years.
In accordance with Sir John's wishes, the interment will be strictly private and there will be no Memorial Services. A celebration of his life and work will take place some time next year.
