Emergencies, evidence and policy

In this free public lecture Professor Sir John Beddington will share his experiences of being the UK Government Chief Scientific Adviser, a post he held from 2008 until 2013. During this time he was involved in responding to emergencies ranging from the 2009 influenza pandemic and the closure of UK air space by volcanic ash in 2010 to the 2011 Fukushima earthquake and tsunami.
