Highlight Breaking the silence about uterine fibroids: confronting inequalities in women’s health Heavy and painful periods, recurrent miscarriages, infertility are among the debilitating symptoms experienced by women suffering from uterine fibroids. While fibroids occur in up to 66% of women, they disproportionately affect women of African and Caribbean background. This event is an opportunity to discuss and empower and to make fibroids a healthcare priority in the UK. |
