Advert for event showing three charities taking part

Co-producing research with the Cambridge Patient Led Research Hub

Tue 25 January 2022

online

A live Webinar for patients, members of the public, charities and patient organisations wanting to find out about co-producing research with the PLRH.

Join us over the lunch period (with your food!) to hear from three very different charities who will share their journey from developing a research idea into a co-led research project with the PLRH.

As well as providing an overview of how research trials are set up and the methodology used, this session will illustrate how patients and families' important research ideas can be addressed. See plrh.org to learn more about the Patient Led Research Hub.

There will be opportunities to submit questions throughout the session, with time after the talks to answer your questions.

Speakers and panel
Prof. Miles Parkes, Director of NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre
Dr Rona Smith, Trials Methodologist for CCTU, Consultant Nephrologist, PLRH Director
Dr Sara Booth, Palliative Care Consultant, Lupus UK Trustee, has SLE

About the Patient Led Research Hub:
The PLRH was established in 2015 by members of the Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit (CCTU) from the University of Cambridge and the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We aim to provide academic expertise in all aspects of research design and conduct, free from a defined research agenda. This expertise is available to charities and patient groups to support patient-initiated and patient led research.
