Shades of Survival to premiere at Cambridge Film Festival 2025

Shades of Survival (2025) is a powerful documentary film which highlights global inequities in breast cancer care for Black women while celebrating the courage of those who advocate for change. In the film four members of the CRUK Cambridge Centre – Prof Jean Abraham (Dept of Oncology and CUH), Dr Sigourney Bonner (CRUK CI), Prof Charlotte Coles (Dept of Oncology and CUH) and Dr Georgette Oni (CUH) – share their research and experience of inequalities in breast cancer care both in the UK and across the world.

The film will be premiered at the Cambridge Film Festival on Sunday 26 October at the Arts Picturehouse Cambridge. This screening will include a short Q&A session at the end with David Ayeni (Director), Victoria Ekanoye (Anchor and Executive Producer) and Georgette Oni (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust). A second screening will take place on Tuesday 28 October.
