Hosted at Churchill College, Cambridge by Prof. Sharon Peacock, this In Conversation series delves into some of the recent books published by members of the College. Wide-ranging discussions with the authors will shed new light on aspects of our past, present and future that connect with how we live today.

Join us to hear from Churchill College Fellow Prof. Sir David Spiegelhalter in conversation with the Master of Churchill College, Prof. Sharon Peacock, discussing his latest book, 'The Art of Uncertainty'.

As Emeritus Professor of Statistics at Cambridge in the Centre for Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cambridge and a Non-Executive Director of the UK Statistics Authority, David Spiegelhalter has spent his career dissecting data in order to understand risks and assess the chances of what might happen in the future. In ‘The Art of Uncertainty’, he gives readers a window onto how we can all do this better.

About David Spiegelhalter:
Prof. Sir David Spiegelhalter OBE FRS is Emeritus Professor of Statistics in the Centre for Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cambridge, a Fellow of Churchill College Cambridge, and a Non-Executive Director of the UK Statistics Authority. His bestselling book, The Art of Statistics, was published in 2019, and The Art of Uncertainty in 2024.
