Mill Road Fringe invites you to enjoy a picnic in the park with live music presented by CALM Stage and led by the fabulous Colonel Spanky’s Love Ensemble.
Bring your own picnic, rug and chairs – whatever you need – and we’ll supply the music. This year Buntingford Brewery will be running a Pimms Bar (with other drinks too) and there will be Laughter Yoga, charity stalls and plenty of activities to keep all family members entertained.

Young children can make natural art (bees and wands) with the county’s team from ’50 Things to do before you’re five’ and children of all ages will be welcome to test their skills and learn new ones at Cambridge United Foundation’s amazing Kidzone.
Visit 13th Cambridge Scouts for a family treasure hunt, Mill Road WI for mystery books, The Edge Café for duck dipping and the City Council’s InterGen project for community mapping.

The Shindig is a free event for the whole community. It’s part of the programme of Mill Road Fringe events, which is funded by charity Love Mill Road and organised by a great team of volunteers. Please visit our stall at the Shindig to find out more about what’s going on and how to get involved. We’d also love to hear your ideas for future events.
Please remember that barbecues are not permitted.

Weather alerts: our Summer Shindig really does need some sunshine so we will cancel on the day if it’s going to be wet, or even cold and drizzly. So be sure to check this web page and our social media on the day. Fingers crossed for the sort of sunny evening we enjoyed last year.
