Twilight at the Museums is a FREE evening for families where museums and collections across Cambridge open their doors for a series of drop-in adventures and activities after dark.
Embark on a musical magical mystery tour at the Museum or Archaeology and Anthropology, discover more about animals that come out at night at the Museum of Zoology, or perhaps track down some weird and wonderful objects at the Museum of Cambridge. All this plus free trails, outdoor entertainments and pop-up food stalls. So, pack your torch and get ready to embark on a journey of wonder and discovery.

Experience beautiful decorated manuscripts displayed just as they would have been in the past – lit by candlelight. All accompanied by music of the period performed live by students from the Music Faculty.

The Polar Museum

Historic Explorers
Visit in the dark and travel back in time. The Museum will be bringing to life some of the amazing characters who have made polar history. Meet Martin Frobisher, an Elizabethan explorer with gold on his mind, not to mention the Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton who led his men to safety after his ship sank.
