SCHUBERT String Quartet No.14 in D minor (‘Death and the Maiden’)
Schubert’s powerful ‘Death and the Maiden’ is probably the best known of all quartets and Mozart’s ‘Dissonance’ is also high in the pantheon of revered works. In between these, we shall present a series of several short pieces newly commissioned for our Fortieth Anniversary by a mixture of very established contemporary composers and exciting new talents.
