
The Place of Antisemitism within Debates on Racism

Overview:
This event is the first of three roundtables that Wolfson's Race, Ethnicity, and Cultural Heritage (REACH) Research Hub will be organising over the academic year under the heading ‘Hierarchies of Racism?’
Events within the series are planned one per term and will feature an amazing line-up of scholars who will explore the theme of racism from three different lenses: Antisemitism, Roma and Traveller communities, and Islamic communities.
Speakers:
Professor Esra Ozyurek (Faculty of Divinity University of Cambridge) Sultan Qaboos Professor of Abrahamic Faiths and Shared Values.
Professor David Feldman, Birbeck, University of London. Professor Feldman has been Director of the Pears Institute for the Study of Antisemitism since it was established in 2010.
Professor Stefanie Schüler-Springorum is the director of the Berlin-based Centre for Research on Antisemitism.
Dr Keith Kahn-Harris is a sociologist and writer whose research interests include the contemporary British Jewish community.

This event will take place in the Roger Needham Room on the second floor of the Chancellor's Centre. It has step-free access with a lift and there is an accessible toilet located each floor of the building.
