Woman, Water and Wellbeing
Tue 25 August
online
There's something about water that pulls us in, calms us, and connects us to ourselves and each other.
This online panel brings together four women whose work spans poetry, storytelling and campaigning, to share the personal moments that shaped their relationship with water, from quiet peace to a deeper sense of belonging. Expect warmth, honesty and a shared love of the water that has changed who they are.
Ella Foote (Chair): Journalist, writer, editor, and year-round outdoor swimming expert
Tessa Wardley: Writer, Director of Communications and Advocacy for The Rivers Trust, and adventurer
Polly Atkin: Poet and non-fiction writer, and lake swimmer
Corynne ‘Speech Debelle’ Elliot: Co-Founder of We Are Black Fish
This event is being hosted as part of Cambridge University Library and Pembroke College's exhibition, Living Water: Poetry, Art and the Fight for Clean Rivers.
