CBC Wellness Campaign: Menopause - Everything you ever wanted to know

Mon 23 May 2022

Registered participants will be sent the Zoom link in their order confirmation.
This CBC Wellness Campaign webinar will consist of a presentation followed by an informal discussion via the Zoom Q&A function around menopause. We will talk about what menopause is, when it is likely to happen and what symptoms can be expected. We will look at things that can help including lifestyle interventions and alternative treatments, and then focus on the pros and cons of HRT. Finally, we will look at the effect menopause has in the workplace, with strategies to help improve things.
The webinar will be led by Dr Susanna Unsworth MA (Cantab) MB BChir MRCGP (2010) DRCOG DFSRH PGDip Gynaecology who is a British Menopause Society Registered Menopause Specialist.
Susanna trained in Cambridge, qualified in 2005 and has worked throughout the eastern region. She worked as a GP for nearly 10 years, then decided to focus more on women’s health. Currently she is Community GP Gynaecologist at Saffron Walden Community Hospital (which includes the NHS menopause service) and a Specialty Doctor in the Breast Unit at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, which includes managing menopause in women after breast cancer.
Susanna also runs Cambridge Women’s Health – a dedicated online private menopause clinic https://www.cambridgewomenshealth.co.uk/
All are welcome: this webinar is not a Zoom Meeting - you will not be seen by the other participants and the other participants will not know you are attending.
This event is part of the ‘CBC Wellness Campaign’ – a series of webinars supporting the 21,000+ people who work on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, many of whom are at the forefront of the changing face of healthcare. However, these events are also for anyone looking for additional support: you don't have to work here and there is no charge to attend.
These events will be recorded and a link will be sent to all participants afterwards. It will also be posted on the CUHP website and the Cambridge Biomedical Campus YouTube channel.
