A Young Man’s Exhortation – Cambridge Song 2020

Sat 15 February

Trinity Hall

Join the acclaimed tenor Nick Pritchard and pianist Libby Burgess for this intimate performance of A Young Man’s Exhortation, Gerald Finzi’s settings of poems by Thomas Hardy. A lyrical, reflective, deeply emotional song cycle, it traces the transformation of a young idealist as he matures toward his gentle end beneath the yellowing trees. The programme also features a selection of Benjamin Britten’s most treasured folk song arrangements.

Presented in collaboration with Cambridge Song, after their successful launch in 2019: cambridgesongfestival.co.uk.

All ticket prices include a post-concert drink in the Master's Lodge.
