System Change in Philanthropy for Development
Wed 4 May 2022
Academic research on philanthropy is most often conceived based on scholarly interests, which may have little correlation to the practical realities of those working on the ground in global growth markets. The new Centre for Strategic Philanthropy (CSP) report seeks to elevate the voices of philanthropic practitioners in Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia by using their insights to determine an academically rigorous research agenda that is rooted in improving philanthropic practice in these core markets. In collaboration with colleagues at the Asia Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN), European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA), Nigeria Impact Investors Foundation, the Arab Foundations Forum, and the Centre for African Philanthropy and Social Investment, this report brings together reflections from 40+ philanthropic organisations to develop the CSP’s research agenda.
To celebrate 2 years since CSP’s inception and the formalisation of our research agenda, please join us for the landmark launch of our report entitled ‘System Change in Philanthropy for Development: A Research Framework for Global Growth Markets’ based on the key findings from our extensive data collection.
