Pollinators Craft Workshop

Sat 3 May

Museum of Zoology

Are you a young woman with a passion for pollinators and crafting? Join us on the 3rd of May for a day of zine-making at the Museum of Zoology for women aged 16-35.

A zine is a small magazine – it comes from the word “magazine”. They are usually independently published, low cost, and easy to distribute. They emerged about 100 years ago and gained popularity in the Riot Grrrl scene in the 90s, when girls and women came together to tackle the lack of women’s representation in the punk music scene.

At this workshop you’ll learn and discuss about pollinators and why they are important, what we could do about their decline, and how we can envision a future where pollinators thrive. We’ll spend the afternoon making a zine themed around pollinators using different crafting methods including collage, painting, drawing, and/or writing.

This workshop is taking place in the Learning Lab of the Museum of Zoology, from 10am – 4.30pm.

Tickets are £10, which includes lunch and snacks.

Please book ahead as we only have 25 spaces.

Cost: £10
