Canadian historian, Lyle Dick will be giving a talk on Arctic explorer, Robert Peary who claimed to be the first person to reach the North Pole in 1909.

He is the author of many publications in Canadian, American and Arctic history, including the books Muskox Land (winner, Harold Adams Innis Prize, 2003) and Farmers "Making Good" (co-winner, Clio Prize, 1990). Between 2011-2013 he served as President of the Canadian Historical Association.
