'The new world disorder', with Mark Urban

The journalist, broadcaster and author Mark Urban spent almost 35 years with the BBC covering international affairs and conflicts. Now, with turmoil in the Middle East, a continuing war in Ukraine and other dangerous conflicts around the globe, he reflects on what is happening; how it’s being reported; and what may lie ahead.

The event will open will open with a conversation chaired by the master of Selwyn College Roger Mosey, followed by an audience Q&A.

About the speaker

Mark Urban is a British journalist and broadcaster, with expertise in defence and foreign affairs. He served as Diplomatic Editor and presenter for BBC Two's Newsnight, where he covered global conflict zones extensively. Throughout his career, Urban has reported from some of the world's most volatile regions, including the Middle East, Asia, and Eastern Europe.
