Whipple Museum of the History of Science
From the ancient tracking of the stars and Sci-Fi futures, to women scientists and famous computer pioneers explore the spectrum of identities that exist across time, place and culture at the Whipple History of Science Museum.
Our volunteer guides share their personal selection of fascinating stories about gender and sexual identity through a range of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer-related objects.
Important information
The Museum is embedded in the Department of History and Philosophy of the University of Cambridge which is located on Free School Lane. To find the Museum please enter through the department door and go up the stairs directly in front of you.
Please note that tours will involve walking around the Museum for the duration
Tours are aimed at an adult audience. However children and teenagers are very welcome to attend with adults at their discretion.
Please arrive approx. 5-10 mins before the tour start time at the information desk just inside the Museum.
