Cambridge Natural History Society talk: Cheetah conservation in Namibia

Thu 14 February 2019

David Attenborough Building

Chris Heron will talk about the three weeks he spent a year ago working with the Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia. He will talk about cheetahs and getting the locals onside, but also about plants and insects, which he was photographing in his spare time.

Cambridge Natural History Society was founded in 1857 and is open to everyone interested in any aspect of Natural History - zoology, botany, ecology, entomology, palaeontology, mycology, conservation, the environment and more. Talks cover a variety of topics and there are social events, field studies (an opportunity to learn identification skills) and an annual exhibition, our Conversazione or NatHistFest.

NatHistFest 2019 is the 100th Conversazione! Free and open to all, it's 12-13 April 2019 in the University of Cambridge Zoology Lab on the New Museums Site.

See www.cnhs.org.uk for more information.

Joining the Society gives you opportunities to meet people with shared interests and access to local experts. Membership is just £6 a year (£5 by standing order, £14 for three years, £100 life membership). Join at any meeting.

Cost: £3; CNHS members £1.50; students with ID 50p; ARUWS and CUNS members free.
