The Romans are Coming!

Tue 12 August 2025

Museum of Classical Archaeology

March into the past with us to the world of ancient Rome during an action-packed family day. Meet a Roman soldier, try on traditional Roman dress, and get stuck into craft activities like making your own Roman helmet.

This Summer at the Museums is free and family-friendly. No need to book, just drop in.

Summer Temperatures
Our glass-roofed gallery can get very warm in the summer months. We recommend bringing water if the weather is forecast to be warm and sunny.

Accessibility
The Cast Gallery is on the first floor.

We provide step-free access via our lift. To use the lift please ask at the reception on the ground floor of the Faculty of Classics.

This event involves moving and standing, but we have chairs available which can be moved around the gallery.

Find out more about Museum Access on our website.

Please contact us on 01223 330402 or email museum@classics.cam.ac.uk if you have any questions or concerns about accessibility.
