NatHistFest 2019: the 100th Conversazione of Cambridge Natural History Society
Fri 12 April 2019 - Sat 13 April 2019
Department of Zoology
Please come to Cambridge's oldest celebration of citizen science, our 100th free public exhibition showcasing the environment and wildlife of Cambridgeshire and further afield.
It's a great way to find out more about what's happening in your own patch and to chat with local and international experts about their passions - and yours!
Exhibits include hands-on specimens (some alive!) and displays about all aspects of local natural history. You may like to exhibit - students are invited to enter our £100 Student Prize - or just come along, and help us celebrate this landmark occasion.
CNHS was founded in 1857 and has counted David Attenborough among its members. Our first “Conversazione” was held in 1913 and after the Great War, a second event in 1920 began what we think is the longest-running annual exhibition of any Natural History Society. 2019 thus sees our our 100th natural history “conversation” and we'd love you to join in!
There will be a social event for exhibitors and CNHS members on Friday 12th April, after the exhibition closes and following a short AGM for members. Special guest Sue Marchant of BBC Radio Cambridgeshire will present our Student Prize.
