Tsagaan Sar: Mongolian Lunar New Year Celebration

Join the Cambridge Mongolian Cultural Society (CMCS) for Tsagaan Sar 2026, a Lunar Yew Year celebration.
This year the CMCS will be highlighting two important milestones: the 40th Anniversary of the Mongolian & Inner Asian Studies Unit at the University of Cambridge, and also their own 5th anniversary.
Grounded in Mongolia’s ancient nomadic heritage, Tsagaan Sar marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring. This event welcomes people from Mongolian cultural backgrounds, as well as anyone interested in Mongolian culture.
This festive annual gathering offers a wonderful opportunity to experience Mongolia’s rich nomadic heritage and to connect with Mongolians in Cambridge and the wider community.
