Professor Richard Bourke, B.A., University College Dublin, Ph.D., K, Professor in the History of Political Thought, Queen Mary University of London, elected Professor of the History of Political Thought with effect from 1 January 2019.
Professor Catherine Jane Crozier Pickstock, M.A., Ph.D., EM, Professor of Metaphysics and Poetics, Faculty of Divinity, elected Norris-Hulse Professor of Divinity with effect from 1 October 2018.
Professor George van Kooten, M.A., Durham, M.St., Oxford, Ph.D., Leiden, Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity, University of Groningen, elected Lady Margaret’s Professor of Divinity with effect from 1 October 2018.
Pathology. Dr Catherine Jill Merrick, B.A., TH, Ph.D., London, PGC in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, Keele, appointed from 4 June 2018 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of five years.
Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. Dr Enrico Pajer, B.Sc., M.Sc., Pisa, Ph.D., Ludwig-Maximilians, Munich, appointed from 1 July 2018 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of three years.
Medicine. Dr Charis Costopoulos, M.A., B.Chir., M.B., M.Phil., Q, appointed from 1 April 2018 until 31 March 2022 and subject to a probationary period of twelve months. Dr Gavin William Sewell, B.Sc., Ph.D., M.B.B.S., London, MRCP (UK), appointed from 1 March 2018 until 28 February 2022 and subject to a probationary period of twelve months.
University Offices (Estate Management). Mr Timothy Glyn Jones, appointed from 1 January 2018 until the retiring age.
University Offices (Finance Division). Mr Abdul Noor Khalique, B.A., Anglia Ruskin, MAAT, Assoc CIPD, appointed from 30 April 2018 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of nine months.
Continuing Education. Dr Corinne Boz, B.A., Sheffield Hallam, M.A., Hacettepe, Turkey, Ph.D., Sheffield Hallam, appointed from 5 March 2018 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of nine months.
Pathology. Dr Jalal Hamid, reappointed from 1 January 2018 until 31 December 2022. Dr Helena Margaret Browne, CHR, reappointed from 1 February 2018 until 31 January 2023.
Archaeology. Dr Mark James, JE, Dr Charlotte Houldcroft, CHR, Dr Jody Patrick Joy, Dr Piers Dominic Mitchell, and Dr Christopher Robert Wingfield have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2017 until 30 September 2019.
Biology. Reverend Mr Jeremy Lloyd Caddick, EM, and Dr Hwel Llewelyn Roderick have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 March 2018 until 29 February 2020.
Clinical Medicine. Dr George Steliou Vassiliou has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 April 2018 for a further two years.
Engineering. Dr Daniel Popa, EM, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2017 for a further year.
Veterinary Medicine. Ms Sarah Boveri, Ms Valentina Brioschi, and Mr Richard Gordon Whitelock have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 January 2018 until 31 December 2019. Mr Matthew William McMillan has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 January 2017 for a further two years. Dr Lisa Alexandra Cardoso Alves, Dr Peter Stewart Fordyce, Dr Mark John Reading, and Ms Victoria Helen Scott have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 January 2018 for a further two years.
