Elections

Professor Michael Cates, B.A., M.A., Ph.D., T, FRS, Professor of Natural Philosophy and Royal Society Research Professor, University of Edinburgh, has been elected into the Lucasian Professorship of Mathematics with effect from 1 July 2015.

Professor Richard James Gilbertson, B.Med.Sci., M.B.B.S., MRCP, Ph.D., University of Newcastle, Scientific and Comprehensive Cancer Centre Director and Lillian R. Cannon Professor, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, USA, has been elected into the Li Ka Shing Professorship of Oncology, with effect from 1 August 2015.

Professor Christopher James Pickard, M.A., Ph.D., CHR, Professor of Physics, University College London, has been elected into the Sir Alan Cottrell Professorship of Materials Science Professorship, with effect from 1 August 2015.
