6. That Regulation 2 for the Kurt Hahn Prizes be amended by replacing the reference to Part II of the Manufacturing Engineering Tripos by reference to Part IIB of the Engineering Tripos:5

The fees proposed for Channel Islands and the Isle of Man students reflect the rates agreed between Universities UK and the authorities of the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. The opportunity has been taken to merge columns for postgraduate home students as the 'Islands' postgraduate students pay the same fees as home and EU students. The fees published on 7 May for postgraduate Island students were incorrectly listed as being the fees for 2008-09 instead of 2009-10. The fees for such students in 2008-09 are those published in Statutes and Ordinances (pp. 161-6). The Council has also agreed to correct an anomaly in the fee charged to Island students who are undertaking a year abroad. The fee has been brought into line with the fee charged for home and EU and overseas students.

Subject to the approval by Her Majesty in Council of the amendments of Statute approved by Grace 4 of 11 March 2009.

Statutes and Ordinances, p. 642. On the recommendation of the Committee of Management of the University Health Services the titles of the various Counsellors has been amended to take account of current practice.

Statutes and Ordinances, p. 634. The Management Committee of the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences, with the support of Sir Evelyn de Rothschild, has proposed that the regulations for the Rothschild Visiting Professorships be amended to allow for distinguished persons who are not eligible to hold a University Professorship to be invited to the Institute as Distinguished Fellows.

Statutes and Ordinances, p. 787. As there is no longer a German language component in the examination for Part II of the Manufacturing Engineering Tripos, the Trustees of the Kurt Hahn Trust have agreed that in future the Prize should be awarded for distinguished performance in German in Part IIB of the Engineering Tripos.
