TUTORIAL FELLOWSHIP IN LAW WITH A TITULAR UNIVERSITY LECTURERSHIP IN LAW

St Catherine's College and the Faculty of Law of the University of Oxford welcome applications for a Tutorial Fellowship in Law from 1 October 2009 or as soon as possible thereafter, to be held in conjunction with a Titular University Lecturership (CUF) in the Faculty of Law. The salary will be on a scale currently from £42,351 up to a maximum of £56,917 a year, with substantial additional benefits including a pensionable housing allowance of £6,688 a year payable to non-residential Tutorial Fellows. The Faculty of Law will also provide the Lecturer with a start-up grant of £4,000 (unless the appointee currently holds an established Oxford University academic post).

The successful applicant will have a high standard of research and teaching ability and be able to devise and give high-quality tutorials, classes, and lectures. The post-holder will be required to take tutorial responsibility and teach two or more of the following undergraduate subjects for the College: Roman Law, Criminal Law, Tort Law, Trusts, Land Law, European Community Law, Constitutional Law, and Administrative Law. They will also be expected to give lectures and seminars and to undertake graduate teaching and supervision for the Faculty, and to pursue research and publication.
