St Edmund Hall

PRINCIPAL OF THE COLLEGE

The Fellows of St Edmund Hall intend to elect a new Principal of the College, to follow Professor Michael Mingos, FRS, who retires at the end of September 2009 after a very successful ten years, and they invite applications from suitably qualified candidates. The successful candidate will bring a distinguished record of achievement and a clear commitment to the academic values which are at the core of the College. Energy and effective communication skills should be combined with financial acumen and willingness to fundraise. The Principal will be a compelling advocate for the College externally and a respected, creative, and supportive presence within it.

The College currently has some 400 undergraduates, 175 graduate students, and 40 Tutorial and Official Fellows. In its long history, St Edmund Hall has produced alumni of great eminence in many fields, academic, artistic, commercial, and sporting. The diversity and richness of College life remain dominant characteristics today.

Further information about the College can be found on its website (http://www.seh.ox.ac.uk/). The Fellows of St Edmund Hall have retained Russell Reynolds Associates to support them in making this appointment. Potential candidates are invited to consult the Russell Reynolds website at http://www.rrapublicsector.com/ where further particulars and details of how to apply may be found.
