Brasenose College

DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT

Brasenose College Alumni Relations and Development Office is seeking applications for a Development Assistant to provide efficient administrative and secretarial support as part of a highly energetic professional alumni relations and fundraising team. The post-holder will act as the first point of contact for all alumni enquiries, maintain office systems, and provide support for events, mailings, and data management. The College will celebrate its 500th anniversary in 2009, making this a particularly exciting time to join the team.

Applicants should have a good general education, preferably to degree level, as well as strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Raiser's Edge database is desirable but not essential. This post would be an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to start a career in development.

The appointment will be made at an appropriate point on the University's Grade 4 scale, for which the current salary (under review) is between £18,710 and £21,682. Holiday entitlement is 30 days a year, in addition to public holidays. Other benefits include a final salary pension scheme and a free lunch in Hall.

For further details, please visit the College's website (http://www.bnc.ox.ac.uk/). To apply, please send a curriculum vitae with covering letter (with the contact details of two referees) to Tina Hill, Alumni Relations and Development Office, Brasenose College, Oxford, OX1 4AJ.

The closing date for applications is 16 July 2008. It is envisaged that interviews will be held in the week commencing 4 August 2008.
