DIRECTOR OF MUSIC (PART-TIME) 3 YEAR FIXED-TERM CONTRACT

Founded in 1352 by the townspeople of Cambridge, Corpus Christi College is one of the oldest Colleges of the University of Cambridge.

The College wishes to appoint a Director of Music. This is an exciting post which provides support, encouragement, and continuity in the musical life of the College, with opportunities for the creative development of musical activities.

The successful candidate will have considerable musical accomplishment, enthusiasm, and energy, and appreciation of the need to work closely with the Chaplain, Chapel Choir, Organ Scholars, and music groups within College. It is envisaged that the post may appeal to those with existing academic or musical commitments, or to a musician who has completed their postgraduate academic studies, but who may be seeking to consolidate or maintain a professional musical career.

The post will require an average of twelve hours a week and to accompany the Choir on its annual tour. There is a one year probationary period. The starting salary is in the range of £10,000 to £12,000 a year. Full dining rights and Senior Common Room membership are also available.
