STIPENDIARY LECTURERSHIP IN HUMAN GEOGRAPHY

Applications are invited for a Stipendiary Lecturership in Human Geography. The person appointed will be expected to contribute to undergraduate tutorial teaching of general human geography and the philosophy, nature, and practice of geography in the Honour School course, and to help with the supervision of undergraduate dissertations. The appointment is for one year in the first instance, from 1 October 2008, but there is some possibility of extension. The person appointed will be expected to undertake an average of six hours of tutorial teaching a week over three eight-week terms, as well as assisting with tutorial administration and undergraduate admissions. The salary is based on the Senior Tutors' Stipendiary Lecturer scale, currently £11,501 to £12,945 for the six-hour post (under review), and the post carries full Senior Common Room dining rights.
