PROFESSORSHIP OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY LAW

Applications are invited for the above post, tenable from 1 October 2008 (or as soon as possible thereafter). The Professorship will be held in the Faculty of Law, and is attached to a non-stipendiary Professorial Fellowship at St Peter's College. The Professor will be expected to provide leadership and to teach and research in the field of intellectual property law at the highest level. He or she will have an outstanding record of research and publication and extensive experience of teaching at graduate level and of supervising higher level research. The university welcomes applications from candidates who specialize in particular areas of intellectual property law such as Copyright, Patents or Trademarks. Comparative interests and expertise in Commonwealth, American, European or other systems of intellectual property law will be an advantage.

BT PROFESSORSHIP OF MAJOR PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT

The BT Professorship of Major Programme Management offers an exciting opportunity for a scholar of international distinction to join the two intellectual communities of the Saïd Business School and St Anne's College, offering possibilities for disciplinary and interdisciplinary engagements with other leading researchers.

The BT Professorship will be a prestigious appointment and the person appointed will provide academic leadership in the development of the world's first research centre in major programme management. The BT Centre for Major Programme Management will carry out a programme of leading-edge and multi-disciplinary research, drawing together the expertise within the Saïd Business School and the broader university (within departments such as Engineering, Computer Science, and Law) and eminent practitioners from the global business community. As well as carrying out research in the field, the Centre will also develop a ground-breaking teaching programme which will lead to an M.Sc. in Major Programme Management to be launched in autumn 2008.
