SENIOR TUTORSHIP

Applications are invited for the post of full-time Senior Tutor, with effect from 1 September 2008 (or as soon as possible after that date).

Merton is a vibrant and diverse community which is committed to excellence in the education of undergraduates, support of graduates, and research. The Senior Tutor contributes to these goals as the officer responsible for overseeing the range of academic activities within the College, including the admission of junior members, management of the Tutorial Office and its service provision to students, academic staffing, advising on academic policy, and relations with the university and other external bodies. The position entails no teaching or research duties but candidates should be in sympathy with academic values and concerns.

The Senior Tutor is a Fellow and a full member of the College's Governing Body. The salary will be in the range £41,343-£55,562 (October 2008 rates) with additional benefits including a housing allowance of £7,687, free meals, and medical insurance.
