TWO-YEAR TUTORIAL FELLOWSHIP AND DEPARTMENTAL LECTURESHIP IN MEDIEVAL HISTORY

Applications are invited for a two-year, fixed-term Tutorial Fellowship and Departmental Lectureship in Medieval History, tenable from 1 October 2008. The appointment is to fulfil teaching needs arising from a period of academic leave granted to a current post-holder, and is non-renewable. Applications are welcome from those with active research interests in any field of Medieval History.

The successful candidate will be appointed to a two-year, fixed-term Tutorial Fellowship in St Hugh's College and Lectureship in Lady Margaret Hall and to a Departmental Lectureship in the Faculty of History for the same period. For the Colleges the appointee will be required to provide a combined total of eight hours of tutorial teaching a week during term, and to participate in the pastoral care of students and the administration of History within the Colleges, including admissions and marking College examinations. The appointee will be a member of the Faculty of History, and will be expected to provide up to a maximum of sixteen lectures or classes a year, and to participate in University examining at undergraduate and taught graduate level.

The stipend for the post will be £26,666 a year.
