regulations for examinations

The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board or other authority concerned, the regulations for certain University examinations have been amended as follows:

General Regulations for the degree of Master of Philosophy

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 468)

With effect from 1 October 2008

Revised regulations for the degree of Master of Philosophy were approved by Grace 5 of 21 November 2007. The revised regulations were published in Reporter, 2006-07, p. 799, with a further amendment being published in Reporter, 2007-08, p. 258. The General Board, on the recommendation of the Board of Graduate Studies, have subsequently approved an amendment to the schedule to these regulations to allow candidates following Route B (two years of full-time study, including a prescribed period of study outside Cambridge) to take certain written examinations during the first year of study. The revised schedule for Route B is as follows:

Lists of candidates for each examination shall be circulated by the Registrary to Colleges as follows:

List of entries:By the end of the second week of Full Lent Term of the year in which the examination is to be held.
Final list of entries: Not less than four weeks before the beginning of the written examination.
