COLLEGE RESEARCH ASSOCIATES

St John's College intends to elect up to four College Research Associates during the Easter Term 2008. Candidates must be of postdoctoral standing, and may be graduates of any university. They must hold awards made in a national or international competition (for example, Royal Society University Research Fellowships, British Academy Postdoctoral Research Fellowships, Research Council Fellowships, Wellcome Trust Career Development Fellowships) for the purpose of conducting research in the University of Cambridge or at an associated institution. No conditions of age or subject are attached to these positions, but the successful applicants are likely to be within six years of having completed the requirements for the Ph.D. (or equivalent) Degree. Candidates will be selected by reference to their ability to contribute to the intellectual, educational, and social life of the College. While no stipend or honorarium is payable, a number of Collegiate benefits apply. Successful candidates will take up their College Research Associateships from 1 September 2008. Further particulars, and details of how to apply, may be found on the College website at http://www.joh.cam.ac.uk/.
